Studio Gang has become accustomed to everyone being amazed by the solutions it offers. I can't pinpoint a style of its own, and that is perhaps what makes it particularly interesting to me.

Their approach could perhaps best be described by "the style of the place," because on every occasion they know - or she knows, that is, its owner Jeanne Gang - find solutions that do not impose a signature but shape an idea that is in the air.

This extension to the American Museum of Natural History is no different: designed to resemble an anthill, it uses very plastic shapes, molded from a rough concrete that appears to have been laid by hand and is very reminiscent of Eero Saarinen's Terminal 5, also in New York.
