Archistars Deathmatch: Adalberto Libera vs Aldo Rossi

Who did it first?

On the left a drawing by Adalberto Libera: it’s about an urban project for the city of Aprilia. It’s dated 1938. On the right Aldo Rossi and his Cimitero di Modena.

There are 40 years in between but the red cube by Aldo Rossi (here photographed by the sublime Pier Luigi Ghirri) reminds me a lot the one by Libera. I don’t know if he knew the Aprilia project: a cube is a cube, two cubes are similar, two red cubes too.
