The City of the Dead - When I was studying Architecture it was an indispensable myth, although I never really liked its author.

Then I saw it for the first time and just photographed it, a lot, I should say.

The impression is that of entering a De Chirico painting and discovering that the metaphysical wings are, indeed, wings. The materials are relatively poor, the execution is neglected, the details do not exist.

After all, the exploration of an idea does not involve confrontation with reality: a “built” idea is no longer an idea, and Rossi's City of the Dead is the idea that has become real and shows how the wings and all the uncertainty of its subject matter are sustained.

While it remains interesting to photograph, because photography returns it to its domain: that of two dimensions.
